General likes: For everything I've requested I love the canon setting but I also love AUs of just about every flavor--mundane, magical, historical, etc-- fluff, humor, dark and angsty, horror, fairy tales, magical realism, character studies, outside POV, gen through explicit. Also, I enjoy music/sound effects/soundscaping if you like adding those things, but I don't consider them necessary. Repods are cool too, but I do sometimes track down authors to ask if I can make a podfic, so not everything I've recorded has blanket permission.
General dislikes: Character/reader pairings. Character bashing.
Fandoms I Requested:
Our Flag Means Death My current fandom obsession. Ed/Stede canon, canon adjacent, canon au, complete au, don’t care. Crew shenanigans are also fun. My feelings on Izzy are I like him being a gremlin and irritating Stede and the crew—I don’t want him being the focus, but I also don’t want him like, dying offscreen or getting eaten by a shark or anything.
Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell (Book or TV) Anything? Childermass/Segundas just generally being hot, or Strange and Norrell on each other’s nerves in their cloud, or Stephen being awesome, or Arabella/Lady Pole living their best lives?
The Locked Tomb I officially am fascinated by everyone here, the first lyctors, the baby lyctors, the Edenites, everyone at Canaan House, God and his history teacher’s body. I’m still rooting for Gideon/Harrow, but I’m also fine with other pairings along the way if that makes sense? Sure, blow off some steam with Ianthe, but make it fucked up. This is such a messy canon, I love it.
The Magnus Archives Jon/Martin for sweetness, or Peter/Martin for creepiness, or Peter/Elias making devious plans maybe, or Georgie/Melanie being awesome ghostcasters, or anything with Gerry, and I also like statement fic or fics that look at minor characters and avatars.
Murderbot Diaries Anything would be welcome. How are MB and Three getting along? What has ART done to piss off MB today? What nonsense is Pin-Lee dealing with? What do ART’s students make of MB anyway? Or Mensah's family?
Piranesi Anything. The Beauty of the House is immeasurable. I love Piranesi | Matthew, but I also love fics that explore OCs dealing with the existence of the House and other spaces like it outside of this book.
Stardew Valley I'll be honest, I haven't played this in awhile because I never learned to freaking land a fish and I was endlessly torn between whether to romance Leah or Sebastian. But, I still love visiting this world in fics and podfics. (SV fusions are fun too.)
Supernatural I’m really in the mood for a case fic, or some Sam hell-trauma. Oooh, or something pre-series. Gen or Sam/Dean.
Yellowjackets I’m mostly here for the horror, but I love all the characters. Canon pairings are fine, or canon pining. (I get why Shauna/Jackie is a popular pairing but it makes me so sad. Van/Taissa would be nice though, or some fucked up Missy/Natalie.)
Random Horror canons I’ve been having a lot of fun following Dracula Daily, but I read the whole thing ages ago so I’m not worried about spoilers. Other horror lit I’ve enjoyed recently: Carmilla, The Monster of Elendhaven, The Haunting of Hill House, My Sister the Serial Killer, The King in Yellow, White is for Witching, M. R. James ghost stories, The Dunwich Horror (I know, I know), Lovecraft Country, Ring Shout
Mostly, just have fun and record something you enjoy because I know I'll love your gift <3
